Courtney and Cory got married last weekend, YAY!!!! Courtney is a very special bride, she and I just have so much fun whenever we get together. Courtney and Cory’s wedding was a total blast!! I can’t wait to post the pictures from their wedding, which will be up in a week or two.

This was by far my most embarrassing, humbling, etc day of photographing in MY. ENTIRE. LIFE. To put is short, I got pulled over halfway through our session and these two angels had to bring me home. Yes, seriously. (For the record it was all a misunderstanding and has been figured out since, but seriously, so embarrassing).
But, on a much better note – let’s get on to these two. There is something very special about Danielle and Paul David – a love so deep and so real that they seem to know all the ins and outs of each other. They are a couple that put you at ease when you first meet them – they make you feel instantly welcome and excited within 10 minutes of talking to them. What a gift to have as a couple, already!! I know that our bridal session and wedding will be an absolute blast and I cannot wait to continue photographing these two precious people.
Danielle and Paul David, I hope you had as much fun as I did (besides my run-in with the law, HAHA!), and I am so excited to be able to capture the journey of your engagement through your wedding day with you. Cheers!!
This sweet little angel was getting ready for his FIRST birthday party!! THe theme was bugs so his mom and dad wanted to get some pictures of him not only dressed to be “1,” but playing with his bugs, too! Logan was such a sweet and fun little 1 year old, and LOVED being in the dirt and water puddles.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE newborn babies!!! The newness….sounds so obvious, but I can honestly say I never EVER will get tired of photographing newborns!!
I also LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing couples with a new baby. What a raw, indescribable, super-human love it is – loving someone SO much without even knowing them yet. There is truly nothing like it. And to be able to watch it happen over and over again when I go to my newborn sessions – priceless. (I should pitch that for a Mastercard commercial).
Latson and his family were just that – priceless. The love they have for this little boy – this newfound love and respect that they have for each other that they never even knew existed – is just so evident. Capturing it all from behind my lens was just truly breathtaking. Thank you guys for allowing me to capture this special and precious moment in time.
Oh, and Latson is stinkin’ adorable…but that goes without saying…JUST LOOK AT HIM! Enjoy!
Avery’s mama called me up almost in a panic…her daughter was about to start walking and she wanted to take photos of her before she turned into a toddler and while she was still a “baby!” As a mother, I totally understand. This was of course a few months ago (I am the worst blogger in the history of blogging, but my clients DO get their images within 2 weeks! :-), but here is Avery when she was about 10 months!!
I went to high school with Dave and his two sisters, Dawn & Alicia. I actually REMEMBER when Dave met Jaime – his wife, when dare I say, we were all in MARCHING BAND!!! I think it was actually at a marching band competition, HA!! Anywho, Dawn – my sweet old friend, contacted me to do pictures for her bro and sister in law, and I was SO EXCITED to not only take the pictures, but to reconnect with this little family. What an honor!!
I grew up in NJ, so when Jaime and Dave wanted to do their pictures at a park in Weehawken NJ that overlooked the NYC skyline, needless to say, I was stoked. Here is a sneak peak of some of their images of their precious little man Dylan.
Jaime and Dave, it was so so SO wonderful watching you two as parents, it is so obvious how in love all of you are with each other and I loved being able to capture it for you. You are wonderful. CHEERS!
Is Anna Kate not the most precious little 8 week old you’ve ever seen? She dozed through most of our session and I was able to get those little sleepy angelic pictures!! Kristen and David were so fun to shoot with too – they were so fun and so – rightfully so – proud of their little girl. I LOVE photographing new families, and feel so honored to have been asked to capture Kristen, David and Anna Kate!

Ooooh my, is it possible to be any cuter?
Elizabeth is one of my lovely brides, and is getting married in December!! Meeting her fiance and doing this engagement session got me so excited for their wedding! Elizabeth is so fun and outgoing and easy-going and up for anything, which is a photographer’s dream!

I was having one of those days – the sun was shining outside on a Sunday afternoon, and I was inside swamped with photo edits. Jude had graciously been coloring next to me for about an hour (shock), and he started to understandably start whining. So, I did what any other mother would do. I introduced my son to the amazingness of dipping oreos in milk.
You have to understand my true love (sadly) for oreos to realize how wonderful this experience is and was. Also, I hadn’t eaten any carbs in a week (ok, I went to a friend’s house the night before and ate the DELICIOUS Chicago-style pizza they made, but I couldn’t resist…but still, I was carb-lacking which is something I’m usually not). Jude of course loved it, though about a 1/2 second after snapping these pics, his cup of milk was spilled on the floor. Le sigh, still precious to see how excited his face gets when he does something for the first time…like hit a ball off a T, or do his first sumersault…orrrrr eat his first oreo after dipping it in milk.
Yes, that is milk he swirled around on the table…the wonders of an almost-2 year old
